we felt that the procedures we used were the ones that we thought were most appropriate to our theme, however we didn't want this to be the dominating factor. As we enjoyed using methods that created intricate and fresh movement material,  this was exciting because we were creating new choreography that hadn't been seen before.

A procedure that we didn't use for example was avoidance this was because we could see that the choreography had already taken an aggressive form. we felt that this method would of pushed us to far in this style, making the choreography too chaotic. Instead we used the replacement method where we could still keep the levels of aggressiveness but in a controlled and structured way.

In my own opinion I found that the structured tasks generated the most eye catching movement. I liked its flexibility as a tool, as you can set any task for any choreography. Also another upside to this method  was that it got us all working together as a team quickly and is a great ice breaker when working with new people.

Now we have a lot of movement material, we needed to structure the piece in some way. First of all we recorded everything  and decided what looked good and what wasn't fully engaging. Whilst taking into consideration what worked best with our subject matter.

Once we had decided this we then split every section into two then we used the fortune teller to determine what order we would perform them in.This worked well and all we had to do was create a clear entrance and an ending.

However after we had solved that issue we hit another as we lacked any transitions to get us into our new order. To solve this we though back to when we used pedestrian  movements to initiate individuals or ourselves, this then became the basic rule for transitions. It took a lot of practice to get it smooth and erase any mistakes but it came together nicely.

A task that we worked with was "To have extreme contact with each other at all times." and "To have as many people off the floor as possible."To solve this we came up with the solution of a production line for example, as soon as one person looses contact another one joins in. We found that the best result was to be floor based and roll continuously on top of each other, stretching arms and legs out when we could to form some sort of twisted shape. We thought it aided our theme well as it showed the struggle for control.

It has taken a lot of practice to understand where it is best to put limbs and position our weight, and  it is still not as smooth as we would of liked. However we are hoping that this will come with time, and that the intention will come across clearly to the audience.

We needed to ensure that clear motif development had been used, to make sure that this happened we took a section of choreography that had some strong moments in and redeveloped it. Firstly changing all of the movements to be floor based, we then changed the facings and the directions of the movements.

Once we had done all of this we still felt that the movements had not been fully explored and more could be done to make them more interesting but still recognizable. We then wrote down a range of tasks and folded them up on a piece of paper we picked out 3, the instructions were:
.To add suspension to part one of the motif
.Add a frozen moment within the motif
.Initiate the movements with the hip in a section of the motif

By adding theses tasks our motif development started to take shape, we were now coming in and out of the floor, creating bound and suspended movements which tied in nicely with another motif. This all helped to make the motif clearly developed and it came across as more lively and enjoyable to watch.
